- A Message from Father Alex. . .
As pastor, I would thank you for your support to the Catholic Charities Appeal. We have made and surpassed our goal of $173,000. St. Bede Parish raised $195,000 which is 112.5% of our goal. I want to thank Debbie Meadors and Cathleen Klusek, Ben and Beth Russo for all their efforts to help keep parishioners aware and informed of the good that Catholic Charities Appeal does. I am also deeply grateful for all your support of the parish.
We nearly doubled our Generations of Faith goal of which I remain grateful for your faithful fulfillment of your pledges. I am not quite halfway through accomplishing my personal pledge. With those funds we have paved a new side walk, added extensive security cameras throughout the entire campus, constructed a new attractive fence in front of the school and church and are placing new signage to identify our school campus. We have renovated our Children’s Ministry rooms and transferred them into the new Bl. Carlo Acutis Youth Center blessed by the Most Rev Thomas J Rodi on January 5, 2022.
During the CoViD 19 pandemic, many of you have continued to be generous in your support of the parish, some even when you are not yet comfortable or able to attend Mass in person. We are praying for all of you that you may remain healthy and in the state of grace. As an expression of gratitude for your support for all of these holy endeavors, I am going to prepare a special dinner on Mardi Gras, March 1, 2022 at 6pm in the Family Life Center. I will prepare a new dish, CREAMY CHICKEN PICCATA over spaghetti with my own Caesar Salad. THERE IS NO COST, just call the office to reserve a seat. Limited to 160. On that evening, there will be an open house so that you can visit the new Bl. Carlo Acutis Youth Center.
Once again, I thank you for all your support. I assure you of my continued prayers. Sincerely in Christ, Father Alex Valladares, Pastor
